For one week every summer we have the opportunity and joy to share the day with children from the Washington Village/Pigtown area of Baltimore City. Our goal is to give them a country experience. Past activities have included stream exploring, field games, arts/crafts, drumming, scavenger hunts, gardening, singing, rock climbing and swimming. Not surprisingly our lives are more deeply touched than theirs. More than 40 parishioners donate their time to make the summer camp a rousing success for 40 campers age 6 – 10. Our camp will run from July 9 – 13 here at St. John’s on Butler Rd. This is a wonderful opportunity for young women and men in high school to gain experience as camp counselors. If you would like more information regarding how you can volunteer at our summer camp, please contact Melanie Heacock at email@example.com or (410) 404-1322.
