Baptism is an initiation into the community of Christians and is a communal event usually scheduled during the Sunday worship service (10am) and on feast days such as All Saints, Epiphany, Easter Vigil and Pentecost.
Two meetings take place prior to the baptism. At the first, we discuss the history and theological significance of baptism and share our own baptism stories. Only the parents need to attend this meeting, but godparents, family, siblings, and or course, soon-to-be-baptized children are more than welcome.
The second pre-baptism meeting is a rehearsal the day before the service. Parents and godparents are asked to attend, and children are more than welcome to come and play during the rehearsal.
