8 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite I
This service is a quiet, contemplative communion service that includes preaching from the Book of Common Prayer celebrated in poetic, Elizabethan language that is sure to inspire all in attendance. Often the service is concluded with a couple of verses from a hymn. Coffee follows in the Parish House library.
9 a.m. Adult Forum
This Christian Education offering is led by the clergy and offers an opportunity for parishioners attending both services to gather and explore the Christian faith and Anglican tradition at the intersection of our daily lives and contemporary issues. We meet in the Parish House library. The format is one of open discussion on subjects as varied as a theological –musical exploration of “Handel’s Messiah” to an in-depth study of Israeli Hope/Palestinian Justice.
10 a.m. Holy Eucharist, Rite II, with Choir
This is a communion service with music and preaching from the Book of Common Prayer in more contemporary language. A nursery for infants and toddlers is available in the Parish House. A Chapel/Sunday School program is integrated into this service so that children have a chance to pray and study the lessons in an age-appropriate way, receive communion with their families, and participate in a lively Sunday School program. All families begin the morning together in Church.
11:15 a.m. Coffee Hour
This is the communal gathering after the 10 o’clock service in the Parish Hall. Sometimes we have presentations during this otherwise social time, such as a photo presentation from our youth on their summer trip to Haiti. Other times we have a special speaker, art show or alternative gift fair. Always we have fun at this, our “After Church Café.”
