The Problem of Evil
Sundays October 5th through November 23rd at 9 a.m. in the Library
Led by the Rev. Ivan Ruiz-Swartz, Judd Anderson, Edward Brown, and Jason Ruiz-Swartz
As Christian we believe that God’s creation is good, and that Christ redeemed us from our fallenness. However, it is also true that we continue to have an experience of evil in the world. Throughout Christian history many theologians have wrestled with this apparent paradox and come to differing understanding. This eight-week series will consider four theologians’ responses to the problem of evil.
October 5th and 12th October: Reinhold Niebuhr
October 19th and 26th: William Barber
November 2nd and 9th: Thomas Aquinas
November 16th and 23rd November: William Stringfellow
